I had high hopes for Wolf's Fall, but was a little disappointed. I have enjoyed all the Alpha Pack novels and was waiting impatiently for the leader's story, Nick Westfall. He seemed so tough and bada&$ in previous books. However, in this book he was more the tortured hero trying to run away from his mate. That is a Personal dislike of mine in romances, where the hero runs away from the heroine and is afraid to commit. The heroine, Calla the vampire princess, was kind and patient and very classy. She was unselfish and giving of herself and ready to put her heart out there and give love a second try. I just wish Nick had stayed the strong, courageous hero he was in previous books. I think the author was portraying PTSD from what happened to him in the previous book, and I understand that he is trying to heal but would have enjoyed him not running away from a second chance of love and risking his heart earlier too. I enjoyed visiting old favorite characters from previous books. I hope in a future book the author can portray a hero who will do anything to be with his mate. I personally enjoy the heroine being human as well like in some of the earlier books. This book did have lots of action and steamy parts. I do look forward to future installments. I was just a little disappointed with the commander's story. I'm actually kind of looking forward to the prickly female doctor's story. I have a feeling she will be paired with Tarron, Calla's vampire brother. I guess we will just wait and see.

Packed with supernova experience holding the read to the final dramatic ending. J. D Tyler does it again with alpha pack multiple paranormal supernatural shifters and magic all rolled up in a great storyline. The next novel I would like to see Blue get somewhat a happy novel and maybe his brother could come looking for him and join the mayhem of the team. Just a suggestion he seem he needs a love interest or something good to happen in his life. Worthy read keep them coming.
I loved this book. Nick and Calla are a great couple. The story picks up after Nicks rescue from Carter Darrow. Nick is still experiencing nightmares and a bit of PTSD from his abduction. Calla the vampire princess is infatuated with Nick but soon learns that they are mates. With Darrow's mate wrecking havoc at both stronghold and the compound there isn't much time to deal with feelings and mateings. There is plenty of action and suspense in this book along with some juicy sex scenes.
I have been a huge fan of the Alpha Pack series but this book is the best yet. In most paranormal books of this genre, there is either a lot of action with little romance (just a wham! I love you, love you too, sex, more sex and done) or there is a lot of emotional turmoil in the romance with one, maybe two fight scenes. J.D. Tyler blended lots of action (and I mean lots!) with an excellent progression of emotional romance while being able to tie loose ends up nicely from not only this book but with the ongoing relationships our hero has with other characters. While its possible to enjoy this book as a stand alone, I highly recommend you go back and start at the beginning of the series. This books just covers too much history and thankfully, the author doesn't delve too deeply with a lot of backstory catch-up scenes. Well done to J.D. Tyler on an excellent book!
Just finished this book 6 and of course just like the all series i love it..Author J.D Tyler did it again..She did not disappointed me same thing for the all series..I wanted so much more when the story ended....i was so sad when i saw the last line...I fell into the storyline right away,well written and the characters tooCalla& Nick and she brings back the all pack....You will find,action,emotion.fight,sex scene,mission,villain,and more..To know the more you got to read this book and also the all series....I can't wait for more and hoe this was not the last book.....Well Done and keep the wolf,fang,shifters,sorcerer coming with more story with new characters,bring the all pack,brings the clan like Tarron is own story too....Just keep them coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!can't wait for MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have wanted nick's story since book one and I so loved it. I really like this series but sometimes I feel like a few of the books in this series were missing something, but this one hit the nail on the head for me. I loved Nick and adored Calla. Love the struggling and overcoming they had to do to be mates and find love again. I love how strong Calla was for Nick. This book was much better than the last not that the last was one bad this one was just better. The End fight was wow had me on the edge the whole time I am reading and I am all like "NO! NO NO this can't be happening!!!! What Aric No, OMG OMG Jaxon NO Oh crap Oh thank GOD everyone is ok now! WHEW thanks blue WHAT NO Not Kalen!! " That was me yelling at my kindle at 1am While my Children are sleeping lol. Great book and a great read,
Oh how authors love to torture their characters. (SPOILER IF YOU HAVENT READ THE PREVIOUS BOOKS) Poor Nick Westfall – leader of the Alpha pack - was tormented by a vampire in the previous book so much so that he can’t stand the thought of ever being bitten again. So who does his mate turn out to be… a Vampire Princess. At the beginning of this book Nick had a lot of weight on his shoulders that was almost more than he could bear. But with the help of Calla – his mate – he manages to get past his dark thoughts to a point which is a good thing because there is an evil vampire out for revenge against him and Calla’s brother.

This is a continuing series that needs to be read in order. Many things cross over between the books in the team ongoing fight against the evil creatures out there. I liked that Nick finally got his story and a well deserved mate but my favorite part of the book was a big part Blue played. He has been a secondary character from the beginning who doesn’t do any field work but boy did he get some action in this book.
